Emilienne Tempels is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1983 in Belgium. She trained in theatrical direction at INSAS (Bachelor’s degree) and in acting at the Conservatoire de Liège (Master at ESACT), then in Documentary Cinema at ULg (Master’s degree).

In addition to mainly working as an actress she creates documentaries, experimental videos, poetic films, radiophonic and photographic works.

She considers life to be a performance and the world as her medium. She practices queer degrowth and her work is infused with humor. A great traveler, she is fearless and loves taking on challenges. An eternal student, she has learned bicycle mechanics, Linux basics, and maritime navigation training, in addition to the four languages she speaks fluently (FR, ES, NL, EN). She is hungry for art, adventures, and freedom. Her work is driven by questions about the Anthropocene.

What is this curious way humans have of inhabiting the world?
